Temporary Lane Closures and Traffic Shifts on K Street, NW
DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel through the K Street, NW corridor.
Along K Street, NW from 3rd Street to 6th Street, traffic lanes will be shifting as temporary lane closures are implemented in order to perform paving and pavement marking work.
WASHINGTON, DC — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be shifting traffic lanes and implementing temporary lane closures along K Street, NW from 3rd Street to 6th Street, NW to perform paving and pavement marking work. This work is scheduled to be performed primarily on weekdays and last from Wednesday, May 8, 2013 to Wednesday, May 29, 2013. During this project at least one lane will be open to traffic in each direction.
This work will be conducted on weekdays from 7 am to 5 pm. Saturday work may be required. If needed, Saturday work will be conducted from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
Safety barricades will be in place to protect motorists and pedestrians during this project. As work progresses along this corridor, residents and businesses will be notified if access to their entryways will be impacted.
DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel in this corridor.
All construction-related work and dates are subject to change, depending on weather, material and contractor availability or other unforeseen conditions.
