Single-Lane Conditions Planned for New York Avenue NE Between Florida Avenue and Penn Street on August 27, 2013
Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes such as Rhode Island Avenue, H Street, NE
(Washington D.C.) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close the eastbound right lane and the westbound left lane on New York Avenue NE, between Penn Street and Florida Avenue, from 9 am to 2:30 pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Upon opening of the lanes, outbound traffic will be shifted to the recently completed eastbound portion of the bridge.
Flaggers will be present to direct motorists through the area. DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel in this corridor. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes such as Rhode Island Avenue or H Street, NE during this closure.
All construction-related work and dates are subject to change, depending on weather, material and contractor availability or other unforeseen conditions.
