Football teams aren't supposed to rise up and win championships with the adversity the Crimson Tide has faced this season. A mid-season coaching change, the starting quarterback missing a significant portion of the season and several players placed on suspension for grades are normally signals a team is on the verge of collapsing.

Credit is due to interim coach Bennett, and his players weren't shy with showering their praises.

"He's a great coach because he keeps us ready each day, whether it's our stamina or our minds," said Jackson. "I respect and thank him for leading us to a championship." Read more »
