Baseball and Softball

The Baseball program became a part of the Department of Athletics during the late 1950’s. We offered our 1st baseball championship in 1959.

The Softball program became a part of the Department of Athletics in 1973 after the enactment of Title IX, Education Amendments of 1972. Prior to 1973, softball was offered in schools under the auspices of sports clubs or sports intramural programs.
