Stephen Zagami
Instructional Superintendent for Cluster VI

Stephen Zagami is currently an Instructional Superintendent for Cluster VI, where he supports principals and staff at K-8 education campuses.
Professional Experience
Over the past 30 years, Mr. Zagami has served as a teacher, team leader, assistant principal, and principal in schools throughout Maryland. Most recently he worked with the Montgomery County Public schools as the Director of Student Services where he directed, administered, supervised and evaluated a comprehensive program of student services. Mr. Zagami also served as a principal in the Howard County Public School System for nine years, serving on various district advisory committees and planning teams. As the principal of Cradlerock School in Maryland, Mr. Zagami worked with local and state officials to reorganize two schools into one, developing school policies and procedures to create the first and only Pre-K-8 school in the district.
Education
Mr. Zagami holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Maryland, College Park.
