Teaching Awards


At DCPS, we know that excellent teachers are the key to ensuring a superior education for the children of the District of Columbia. That’s why we are committed to honoring our outstanding teachers and to recognizing the extraordinary efforts they make every day on behalf of their students.

Below you’ll find descriptions of a few of the honors awarded to our excellent educators. Many of these awards are presented by the DC Public Education Fund at the annual Standing Ovation for DC Teachers.

2013 Rubenstein Awards for Highly Effective Teachers
