DCPS Asks Community to Help Ensure Students' Safe Return to Schools Tomorrow

On Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, DCPS will open two hours late. Students and teachers should report two hours after their regular start time.
Interim Chancellor Kaya Henderson joins Mayor Vince Gray in asking community members to support the District's efforts to clear all sidewalks and walking paths by removing any snow or ice from the sidewalks in front of their homes so students may walk safely tomorrow.
DCPS has cleared and treated all school parking lots, and sidewalks surrounding each school, and continues to work to guarantee that all schools are ready to receive students in the morning.
