We believe that teaching is the most important work on earth, and that all students thrive under the guidance of excellent teachers. National Teacher Appreciation week is an excellent opportunity for all of us to share our deep gratitude for all their incredible hard work and dedication on the behalf of the students of DC Public Schools.
Ways you can help celebrate DCPS teachers:
- Read notes of gratitude for DCPS teachers from the community
- Write a note of appreciation for a DCPS teacher
- Nominate your favorite teacher for an award
- Watch 2011 Standing Ovation videos on the District Knowledge Network (Comcast channel 99, RCN channel 18 and Verizon channel 12)
