The following District health benefits pertain to employees hired on or after October 1, 1987.
The cost of your health insurance premium is shared with the District government, which contributes up
to 75 percent toward the total premium cost.

Note: Only non-union employees are eligible for this option. For employees who already belong to a union (WTU,
AFSCME, CSO, Teamster’s), dental and optical coverage is sponsored by your respective union. Please contact your
