Principals and Assistant Principals


DC Public Schools is looking for talented leaders with a proven track record of success in making schools work for students, families and communities.  Led by Mayor Vincent Gray and Chancellor Kaya Henderson, the District of Columbia Public Schools is undergoing continued education reform, and we need the nation's best leaders to ensure success in every school.

DCPS offers several opportunities to serve as an administrator to help ensure our students achieve at high levels: Principal, Assistant Principal, and Master Educator.

Disclaimer: Please note that we are only screening applications for the Assistant Principal of Literacy position for the 2013-2014 school year.  For the Assistant Principal of Literacy role, only those candidates with a strong background in the area of increasing student literacy growth and building teacher capacity in reading and writing instruction should apply for this position.
