The Metropolitan Police Department announces the new online crime mapping tool. District residents, community leaders, and others can now create computerized maps and other graphics showing recent crime trends in their neighborhoods, using a new online mapping tool unveiled Wednesday by the Metropolitan Police Department.  DC Crime Map is an Internet-based application that uses MPDC preliminary crime data provided through the DC Stat program.
