"We're treating GIS in DC as a public good and it's working. We've generated a lot of collaboration and a huge return on our investment." - Byran Sivak, CTO
The District of Columbia is one of few jurisdictions in the country making geospatial data freely available. As a result, DC government has generated a great amount of collaboration amongst its agencies, residents and visitors. CTO Bryan Sivak discusses how this business model is indeed working and generating a different kind of return on investment. The presentation comes from this year's 2010 ESRI Senior Executive Seminar held in San Diego, California. For more information on this event, please visit the seminar website.
