BACKGROUND: Mayor Vincent C. Gray is set to begin the summer season in DC with a focus on the many fun and safe entertainment options the District has to offer. The Mayor’s comprehensive summer program will provide, children, youth, adults and seniors with safe, healthy, productive and fun activities – beginning with the opening of all District outdoor pools, children’s pools and spray parks. Representatives from the Live Well DC program will be on hand to promote the benefits of healthy summer activities like swimming.
