Mayor Vincent C. Gray to Announce Plans For DC Full Democracy Freedom Rally and March

WHAT/WHO: Mayor Vincent C. Gray will hold a press briefing to announce plans for the rescheduled DC Full Democracy Freedom Rally and March. The rally/march will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at Freedom Plaza, 13th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW.


Besides Mayor Gray, speakers at the press briefing include Steve Glaude, Director of the Mayor’s Office of Community Affairs; Janaye Ingram, DC Bureau Chief for the National Action Network; and a representative from the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Foundation. Representatives from the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), the DC Department of Public Works (DPW), the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and the National Park Service (NPS) will also be in attendance.
