The newly constructed computer lab at DC General will provide critical workforce training
and basic computer skills training for the District’s most vulnerable residents who are
looking for work. It will also be available to children living at the shelter. Unlike many
local programs in which computer literacy courses focus on adults, this program also gives
children the opportunity to learn the basics, complete homework, and find other resources
that are available to them in the city. The lab is a joint venture between OCTO and DHS.
