(WASHINGTON, DC) -- A poll is a snapshot in time and can be an indicator of where change is needed. Mayor Vincent C. Gray, in his short 2 1/2 months in office, has pulled together a strong team to implement his vision and program for the city. As he leads the government in meeting the various challenges it faces, the Mayor will take every opportunity to demonstrate to District residents that the vote of confidence they gave him in November will be rewarded with high performance in his key priority areas, including aggressive and collaborative education reform, a viable economy where jobs will be available for DC residents, safe streets in every neighborhood, a fiscally sound budget, and a restoration of public trust.
“I view the Clarus Poll as a barometer of public opinion. The results present an opportunity for me to identify areas in which to win back the confidence of District of Columbia residents,” said the Mayor. “I appreciate those who still stand with me and will continue to work hard to earn the favor of those who may have doubts.”
