WASHINGTON, DC) – Mayor Vincent C. Gray thanked members of the DC Council for passing Resolution PR 19-0471 today. The resolution expresses support for DC United, the District’s Major League Soccer team, continuing to play its games in DC

“I support the Council’s resolution, and strongly believe that DC United belongs in the District,” Mayor Gray said. “We are thrilled that they are finalizing their lease for 2012 and 2013 at RFK Stadium. We look forward to working with the team to ensure that DC remains the home of this four-time MLS Cup championship team for years to come.”
