Resource Makes Mayor’s Speeches, Press Conferences, Appearances and Other Video Content Easily Accessible to District Residents

Media Contacts

(WASHINGTON, DC) – As a means of providing more information on Mayor Vincent C. Gray’s efforts to implement his agenda and engage the residents of the District of Columbia, the Executive Office of the Mayor recently launched a YouTube Channel for the Mayor at www.youtube.com/dcmayorsoffice.

“In this media age, it is important to be as accessible as possible to the public,” Mayor Gray said. “My new YouTube channel provides one more way that residents of the District can gain information about my administration, the District government’s services and the DC community at large.”

In collaboration with the Office of Cable Television’s Channel 16, the YouTube channel provides residents, media and the public with an additional means of getting information regarding the many programs, services and opportunities made available by the government of the District of Columbia. The programs provide information on education, housing, healthcare, the environment, economic development and arts and entertainment.

The available content on the channel will highlight the Mayor’s dedication to his four top priorities: quality education, jobs and economic development, safe communities and fiscal stability. It also reveals how he is governing DC to provide better outcomes for residents citywide.

The video clips also include mayoral press conferences, agency policy statements and current discussions on the future of District.
