WHERE: Southeast Corner of Pennsylvania Avenue & Branch Avenue SE

BACKGROUND: The Pennsylvania Avenue Great Streets Project is a $35 million transportation project, supported by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The project has dramatically improved the physical character of the Pennsylvania Avenue corridor by enhancing transportation operations and safety for motor vehicles and pedestrians as well as improving the streetscape. The project area includes Pennsylvania Avenue from 27th Street SE to Southern Avenue SE.
