The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) continues to improve the District through various renovations and new construction projects. Review project information below by selecting the project's name.

10th Street Park - Park Development

DPR has undertaken the development and construction of the new 10th Street Park.

 
11th and Monroe Park

11th and Monroe Street Park Renovation

DPR has renovated the park at 11th and Monroe Streets, NW. The new park will feature a new playground; new plaza; landscaping; water fountain; and game tables.

 
16th Street Park Renovation

16th Street Playground Renovation

The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) completed renovations at the 16th Street Playground located at the DPR Headquarters 3149 16th Street, NW.

The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has developed a new park at 18th Street and Bunker Hill, NE in Ward 5.

Anacostia Fitness Center Renovation

In 2009, DPR renovated the Anacostia Fitness Center. The scope of work included renovations to the locker rooms, offices, and fitness areas. Entire facility received plumbing upgrades, new paint, and new flooring.

DPR demolished and built new steps that comply with the District of Columbia’s requirements at various sites.

Barry Farm Recreation Center Renovation

The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is working with the Office of Public Education Facilities Modernization (OPEFM) to build the new Barry Farm Recreation Center. The new facility will feature an indoor aquatic center and the city's second indoor water slide.
