Equal Employment Opportunity Program - Title VII

It is a fundamental policy of the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) to assure equal opportunity in employment to all individuals regardless of race, color, sex (gender or sexual harassment), religion, national origin, age, disability, marital status, personal appearance, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, family responsibilities, genetic information, matriculation or political affiliation as provided in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII) and the DC Human Rights Act of 1977, as amended.

DDOT's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program pervades all human resource practices including, but not limited to, recruitment, hiring, transfers, promotions, training, compensation, benefits, recognition, and all forms of employment.

If you feel you have been discriminated against in any of the above areas you have the right to file a complaint with a DC Government EEO Counselor within 180 calendar days of an occurrence of an alleged unlawful discriminatory practice or 180 calendar days of the discovery of the unlawful occurrence. The EEO Counselor will attempt to resolve the matter within 30 calendar days. If you are not satisfied with the results, you have 15 calendar days to file a formal complaint with the DC Office of Human Rights. For complaints of sexual harassment, you may file directly with the DC Office of Human Rights.
