Agency Organization


The Department of Transportation's (DDOT) manages and maintains transportation infrastructure for the District of Columbia. The agency is broken down into several administrations.

The Office of the Director is responsible for the oversight and management of the entire Department.

Infrastructure Project Management Administration is responsible for the design, engineering and construction of roadways, bridges, traffic signals and alley projects in the District of Columbia.

Policy, Planning and Sustainability Administration (PPSA) establishes broad strategic goals to guide multi-modal program development, the policies necessary to implement such goals, and ensure compliance through plan review and permitting.

The mission of Progressive Transportation Services Administration (PTSA) of DDOT is to provide the public with efficient, affordable and diverse means of travel within the District.
