(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is now enforcing the parking restrictions along Pennsylvania Avenue, SE between Alabama and Southern Avenues. These parking restrictions are in place to accommodate equipment and construction activities for the installation of new water quality catch basins and water main upgrades underway in this corridor.
The parking restrictions will remain in place for approximately three months. Residents and motorists are advised to look for “No Parking” signs posted in the affected area.
The Pennsylvania Avenue Great Streets project covers 2 miles of construction, from 200 feet west of 27th Street, SE to Southern Avenue on the Maryland border.
