(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be closing the eastbound D Street, SW off-ramp from 12th Street, SW to reconstruct a damaged catch basin.
The closure will take place starting at 7 am on Saturday, December 10 through 7 pm the following day and will reoccur starting at 7 am on Saturday, December 17 through 7 pm the following day.
Traffic from the northbound 14th Street Bridge (I-395) and westbound traffic on the Southwest Freeway will still be able to access the 12th Street Tunnel and westbound D Street, SW.
A detour has been established for this work. Detour signs will be posted.
Traffic will be detoured through the 12th Street, SW tunnel to Constitution Avenue, NW then right on Constitution Avenue to 7th Street, NW then right on 7th Street to D Street SW.
DDOT encourages all motorists to travel safely through this corridor and stay alert.
