Temporary Single Lane Closures Planned for SE-SW Freeway Bridge over South Capitol Street

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be performing repair work on the Southeast/Southwest Freeway Bridge over South Capitol Street starting Monday, March 21 through Monday, March 28, weather permitting.

DDOT will be replacing the compression seals in the bridge deck joints. This construction activity will take place after the morning rush hour at 9:30 am and end before the start of the evening rush at 3 pm.

While these construction activities are taking place one lane will be closed to traffic while the remaining lanes are open to traffic.

The traveling public can expect minor delays on the SE/SW Freeway during the times listed above.

Temporary signs and traffic control measures will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public through this area.
