O Street between 11th and 12th Streets in southeast Washington will temporarily close.

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced it will temporarily close O Street between 11th and 12th Streets in southeast Washington. The closure is scheduled to start at 9:30 am on Monday, March 26 and remain in place through 6:30 am on Saturday, April 15. The road closure will allow crews to perform work at the 11th Street, SE and O Street, SE intersection.
Sidewalk access will be kept open on one side of O Street at all times.
While O Street is closed signed detours will be posted.
Detour
Motorists desiring access to O Street, SE east of 12th Street, SE will be directed to M Street, SE then to Water Street, SE.
Signage will be in place to provide motorists advanced notice of the scheduled detour.
In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions, this work will be rescheduled and an updated advisory will be distributed.
This closure is in addition to the previously publicized off-peak closures of the 11th Street bridges, related ramps, local streets, and I-295/DC 295.
