WASHINGTON, DC — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be implementing overnight single lane conditions on both sides of the Southwest Freeway (I-395) between 9th and 12th Streets. The ramp to Maine Avenue, SW on the southbound Southwest Freeway (I-395) will also be reduced to a single lane. The lane closures will allow crews to prepare for the upcoming rehabilitation work that is planned for the L'Enfant Promenade Bridge.

The single lane conditions will be implemented starting at 10 pm on Thursday, January 24 through 5 am the following day and again starting at 10 pm on Friday, January 25 through 5 am the following day.

These lane closures will shift from the right side to the left side of the roadway as the work progresses.

Variable message boards will be in place to provide motorists with advance warning about the lane closures.

In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions, this work may be cancelled, rescheduled or extended as needed and an updated advisory will be distributed.
