(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be conducting overnight lane closures on the Potomac Freeway between Ohio Drive and the Whitehurst Freeway, beginning Monday, August 15, 2011, weather permitting. The lane closures will take place from 8 pm to 5 am to accommodate milling and resurfacing activities.
This improvement project is scheduled to be completed by Thursday, September 15, 2011.
Rotating lane closures will be used in each segment of the roadway. One lane in each direction will remain open at all times.
Variable Message Boards will be posted to alert and guide the traveling public through this area. DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel through this corridor.
