(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be performing roadway work to repair and maintain traffic detection sensors in the roadbed along New York Avenue in Northeast Washington.
The work will be conducted Monday, September 19 through Friday, September 23 between 10 pm and 5:30 am, weather permitting.
During the first two nights, outbound New York Avenue will have the left and center lanes closed followed by the center and right lanes, just beyond South Dakota Avenue.
During the second two nights, inbound New York Avenue will have the left and center lanes closed followed by the center and right lanes.
Should there be any unexpected delays or complications, the remaining work is to be completed during daytime hours on September 23, 2011.
Variable message boards will be in place to alert the traveling public. Motorists traveling during the overnight hours may encounter some delays on New York Avenue during this project.
