(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will continue to restrict lanes on Middle Georgia Avenue, NW at the Kansas Avenue and New Hampshire Avenue intersections to accommodate decorative asphalt marking activities for the Middle Georgia Avenue Great Streets Project through October 23, weather permitting. The lane restrictions are scheduled to take place between 7 am and 7 pm Monday through Friday.
Lanes on Middle Georgia Avenue will be kept open as follows:
- 7:00 am – 9:30 am — Two southbound lanes and one northbound lane will be kept open.
- 9:30 am – 3:30 pm — One southbound and one northbound lane will be kept open.
- 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm — Two northbound lanes and one southbound lane will be kept open.
- 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm — One southbound lane and one northbound lane will be kept open.
During this time access to all properties will be kept open and curbside parking will restricted near the intersections. Short detours of Kansas Avenue and New Hampshire Avenue traffic will be used. Metro Bus service will be maintained at relocated bus stops.
Temporary signs will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public.
