WASHINGTON, DC — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be conducting bridge and tunnel safety inspections on Friday, April 26, 2013. These activities will require single lane closures and take place during off peak hours between 10 am and 3 pm, weather permitting.
The required lane closures and inspection activities are scheduled at the following locations:
Southbound I-395 (Mall Tunnel Exit Ramp) to Eastbound SE/SW Freeway (I-695) [Bridge 1102 (Ramp C)]
There will be alternating left and right lane closures of the ramp from southbound I-395 to eastbound SE/SW Freeway (I-695), followed by a left lane closure of the I-395 exit from eastbound SE/SW Freeway (I-695) to the Mall Tunnel.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn motorists as they approach the areas.
Motorists are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
