(Washington, DC) Starting today the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be temporarily lifting a majority of the existing lane closures that are in place to accommodate roadway construction work. The lane closure lift will remain in place through 12 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 to ensure maximum safety over the New Year’s holiday weekend.
During this time all construction related activities will take place behind barricades and in locations that have no impact on traffic.
