As part of the 11th Street Bridge Project, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close 11th Street, SE between M Street, SE and K Street, SE on April 6 and 7 from 7 am until 10 pm each day.
WASHINGTON, DC — As part of the 11th Street Bridge Project, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close 11th Street, SE between M Street, SE and K Street, SE on April 6 and 7 from 7 am until 10 pm each day.
Additional weekend closures are also scheduled to occur April 20–22, 2013 and May 4–6, 2013 and will begin at 7 am each Saturday morning and continue through 5 am the following Monday. The closures will allow crews to demolish the old outbound freeway bridge over 11th Street, SE.
Signed detours will be posted during the closures.
- Northbound 11th Street traffic will be detoured via M Street, SE to 8th Street, SE, then onto G Street, SE to access 11th Street north of K Street, SE.
- Motorists traveling southbound on 11th Street will be detoured to I Street, SE, then to 8th Street, SE and M Street, SE to access 11th Street south of M Street, SE.
In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions, this work will be rescheduled and an updated advisory will be distributed.
