The new traffic pattern on the northbound 14th Street Bridge caused confusion this morning, as some drivers did not understand that three lanes continue onto I-395 North.

Drivers may use one lane to the left of the center barrier, as well as two lanes to the right of the barrier. Please see graphic below:

Changes to signs onsite are being made by DDOT in conjunction with the contractor. A new sign, expected to be in place by this evening, will inform drivers they may stay to the left of the barrier and still access I-395 North. DDOT officials will continue to monitor traffic conditions and make additional changes as needed.
