(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced the Chain Bridge will remain open this weekend and that additional weekend closures may no longer be required.
A majority of the repair activities that are taking place under the bridge deck are completed and DDOT anticipates it may no longer need to conduct the additional weekend closures that were previously scheduled to accommodate this work. DDOT is assessing the remainder of the work activities that remain to be completed to determine if further weekend closures will be required.
