DDOT will begin the final phase of work on the Benning Road Reconstruction Project. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be shifted to the outer limits of the roadway.
(Washington, DC) On or about Monday, December 19, weather permitting, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will begin the final phase of work on the Benning Road Reconstruction Project.
During this phase crews will be working behind concrete barriers in the middle of the roadway between 39th and 42nd Streets.
Eastbound and westbound traffic will be shifted to the outer limits of the roadway. Pedestrian and driveway access along this stretch will be kept open.
Temporary traffic control signs will be in place to guide motorists through this area.
Barring any major weather delays, this final phase of the work should be completed by mid February 2012.
