Traffic Pattern Shift Planned Sherman Avenue Between Fairmont and Girard Streets
On or about May 14, 2012 the current traffic pattern on Sherman Avenue, NW between Fairmont Street and Girard Street will be temporarily shifted to the east side of Sherman Avenue.

(Washington, DC) On or about May 14, 2012 the current traffic pattern on Sherman Avenue, NW between Fairmont Street and Girard Street will be temporarily shifted to the east side of Sherman Avenue. The traffic pattern shift will accommodate the roadway reconstruction activities that are planned as part of the Sherman Avenue Streetscape Project for the west side of Sherman Avenue along this stretch.
A single northbound and southbound traffic lane will continue to be kept open at all times on Sherman Avenue between Fairmont Street and Gresham Place.
Temporary signs and traffic control measures will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public through this area.
DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel through this corridor.
