Temporary Off-Peak Lane Closures on South Capitol Street Between Firth Sterling Avenue and Malcolm X Avenue on November 4-5, 2013
Temporary alternating off-peak lane closures will occur from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, weather permitting
(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be instituting temporary alternating off-peak lane closures of South Capitol Street, between Firth Sterling Avenue and Malcolm X Avenue, on Monday, November 4 to Tuesday, November 5, 2013, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, weather permitting. These closures are related to construction for the DC Streetcar’s Anacostia Initial Line Segment and the Testing and Commissioning Facility.
A single lane, on both southbound and northbound South Capitol Street, will be maintained during this project. Temporary signs will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public in this area. DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel through the work zone.
All construction-related work and dates are subject to change, depending on weather, material and contractor availability or other unforeseen conditions.
