WASHINGTON, DC – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will make bridge preservation repairs to the outbound Roosevelt Bridge (I-66) at the ramp to Route 50, beginning today and continuing through January 9, 2013.
The repairs will require the temporary closing of the shoulder lane first, and then traffic will be moved to the shoulder and the travel lane will be closed to traffic. There will be no complete stoppage of traffic.
These repairs will take place during the day, between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
Variable Message Boards will be in place to alert the traveling public of all lane shifts and closures.
The public can expect some disruption of traffic flow during the work hours. DDOT encourages all motorists to be cautious as they travel through the work zone.
