Temporary Lane Restrictions Planned for 18th Street in Adams Morgan, Final Surface Paving Begins 

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close portions of 18th Street, NW in Adams Morgan from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on or about Wednesday, April 25, 2012, weather permitting.

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close portions of 18th Street, NW in Adams Morgan from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on or about Wednesday, April 25, 2012, weather permitting.

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close portions of 18th Street, NW in Adams Morgan from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm on or about Wednesday, April 25, 2012, weather permitting, in order to accommodate crews beginning final surface paving operations.

Crews will work on one half of the roadway at a time in order to allow traffic flow on the other half.

Areas of impact will include the intersection at Florida Avenue and U Street and 18th Street from Florida Avenue to Belmont Road. Adjacent portions of Vernon Street, California Street, Wyoming Avenue, Kalorama Road and Belmont Road will also be paved.

Paving operations may take up to one week depending on weather conditions. Parking restrictions will be restored daily after paving work.

Temporary signs and traffic control measures will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public through this area.
