Street Closures for Special Events Including Adams Morgan Day Festival and Nation's Triathlon 

Several special events, that will necessitate street closures, are scheduled to take place in the District of Columbia on Sunday, September 9 and Tuesday, September 11, 2012.

Several special events, that will necessitate street closures, are scheduled to take place in the District of Columbia on Sunday, September 9 and Tuesday, September 11, 2012.

(Washington, DC) – Several special events, that will necessitate street closures, are scheduled to take place in the District of Columbia on Sunday, September 9 and Tuesday, September 11, 2012. The following information has been provided by police and event organizers.

Adams Morgan Day Festival

This event is scheduled for Sunday, September 9, from noon until approximately 7 pm. All street closures will be in effect from 4 am until approximately 10 pm. The festival will take place on 18th Street between Florida Avenue and Columbia Road, NW and will also include the following street closures:

  • 1800 block of Belmont Street, NW
  • 1800 block of Wyoming Avenue, NW
  • 1800 block of Vernon Street, NW
  • 1700 block of Euclid Street, NW
  • California Street, NW between Florida Avenue and 19th Street

Nation's Triathlon 2012

The annual Nation’s Triathlon will take place from 7 am to 2 pm on Sunday, September 9, 2012 in the District. The related road closures will begin at 6 am and will reopen immediately following the event.

Roads will be closed and managed by US Park Police and DC Metropolitan Police.
