(Washington, DC) The Metropolitan Police Department and the District Department of Transportation would like to inform the public of street closures that will be implemented for the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Women's Suffrage March Re-Enactment.
Beginning at 9:00 am on Sunday, March 3, 2013, the following streets will be closed and are expected to reopen by 2:00 pm:
3rd Street from Independence, SW to Constitution Avenue, NW
Pennsylvania Avenue, NW from 3rd Street to 15th Street, NW
15th Street, NW from Pennsylvania Avenue to New York Avenue, NW
17th Street, NW from Pennsylvania Avenue to Constitution Avenue, NW
Motorists traveling in the area of this event may experience delays and should consider alternative routes, if possible.
The Metropolitan Police Department and the District Department of Transportation would like to remind motorists to pay full attention whenever operating any motor vehicle and to be mindful of heavy pedestrian traffic that may be associated with special events. In addition, those wishing to attend these events are encouraged to use public transportation.
