There will be road closures throughout the downtown DC area for the 2nd Annual Washington, DC Triathlon™ taking place on Sunday, June 19, 2011 in the nation’s capital.
(Washington, DC) Organizers have provided the following information about road closures for the 2nd Annual Washington, DC Triathlon™ taking place on Sunday, June 19, 2011 in the nation’s capital. There will be numerous streets impacted throughout the downtown DC area and motorists are advised there could be traffic delays associated with this event. There will also be parking restrictions along the race course and motorists should look for emergency “no parking” signs.

Media Access Details: Due to the road closures, media trucks accessing the race start should go to the Inlet Bridge on Ohio Drive and call Jennifer Devlin at (703) 966-3241 for a motorcycle escort. Media trucks accessing the finish line should go to the north side of Pennsylvania Avenue and 3rd Street, NW. Print and radio reporters can park at the National Park Service HQ, Lots A, B, or C or take the DC Triathlon shuttle from 9th and I Street, NW (Old Convention Center Parking Lot). Shuttles run from 3:30 am to 5:30 am on race day. Credentials will be presented to media on-site.
