Repair and Preservation Work on the Monroe Street Bridge

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is conducting bridge repairs and preservation activities on the Monroe Street Bridge in Northeast at the Brookland Metro Station over the CSX Railroad. All work is scheduled to be completed on or before Saturday, September 10, 2011, weather permitting. Work will take place daily between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm and overnight between 8 pm and 5 am.
The work will require westbound and eastbound lane closures. One lane will be kept open in each direction at all times. The lane closures will take place after the morning rush hour and will be removed before the start of the evening rush hour.
