The final asphalt paving activities for South Dakota Avenue, NE between Riggs Road and Kennedy Street have been rescheduled to occur on or about Monday, June 25.

(Washington, DC) The final asphalt paving activities for South Dakota Avenue, NE between Riggs Road and Kennedy Street have been rescheduled to occur on or about Monday, June 25.
This activity will mark the final major milestone in the completion of the Riggs Road and South Dakota Avenue intersection in northeast Washington.
While this paving activity takes place there will be intermittent lane closures and temporary traffic pattern shifts on South Dakota Avenue, NE. At a minimum one traffic lane will be kept open in each direction at all times. Once the pavement process is complete, traffic will be shifted into the final configuration.
Variable message signs will be in place to guide motorists through the area. Drivers and pedestrians are urged to stay alert and use caution when traveling by the work zone.
