On or about Wednesday, December 19 the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will open a new ramp that provides direct access from the outbound 11th Street Freeway Bridge (I-695) to northbound DC 295.
(Washington, DC) – On or about Wednesday, December 19 the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will open a new ramp that provides direct access from the outbound 11th Street Freeway Bridge (I-695) to northbound DC 295 (see map below).
To access the new northbound DC 295 ramp motorists are reminded to keep right on the outbound 11th Street Freeway Bridge.
On December 18, in preparation for the opening of the new ramp, DDOT will be implementing alternating lane closures on the eastbound SE/SW Freeway (I-695) that leads to the outbound 11th Street Freeway Bridge, starting at 8 p.m. and overnight intermittent traffic stoppages between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next morning.
Electronic message signs will be in place to provide motorists advanced notice of the scheduled lane closures.
