(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be implementing overnight single lane conditions on both sides of the Southwest Freeway (I-395) between 9th and 12th Streets February 19 through April 27. The ramp to Maine Avenue, SW on the southbound Southwest Freeway (I-395) will also be reduced to a single lane. The lane closures will be required to accommodate construction activities associated with rehabilitation of the L'Enfant Promenade Bridge.

These closures will occur daily between 10:00 pm and 5:00 am the following day.

These lane closures will shift from the right side to the left side of the roadway as the work progresses.

Variable message boards will be in place to provide motorists with advance warning about the lane closures.

In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions, this work may be cancelled, rescheduled or extended as needed and an updated advisory will be distributed.
