(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation announced it will be conducting overnight single lane closers in the 3rd Street Tunnel starting at 8:00 pm on Sunday, February 10; weather permitting. The lane closures will continue through 5 am Monday, February 11 and will be required to accommodate power washing activities within the tunnel as part of the Air Rights Tunnel Rehabilitation Project.
Traffic control signage will be in place to alert and guide motorists through this area.
DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert and follow all signs as they travel through this corridor.
