(Washington, DC) A temporary traffic configuration will be in place for late night drivers on Tuesday, February 28 in Georgetown. In association with the O and P Street Rehabilitation Project, DC Water will be in the area performing a water main shutdown at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue, NW and O Street, NW. This is expected to be the last shutdown associated with the project, and DC Water will notify all impacted residents and businesses in advance of the water disruption.

For the shutdown, the entire west side (both southbound lanes) of Wisconsin Avenue, NW will be closed from P Street, NW to N Street, NW. The northbound lanes will be accessible, and they will be converted to two-way traffic, with a single lane of northbound traffic and a single lane of southbound traffic moving through the work zone at all times.

Traffic maintenance operators will be on site with flags directing the flow of traffic. (See graphic).

All drivers will need to use extra caution and stay alert.
