Overnight Lane Closures Planned for Paving on Suitland Parkway, SE

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be conducting overnight lane closures on Suitland Parkway, SE starting on Friday, June 17, weather permitting.

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be conducting overnight lane closures on Suitland Parkway, SE from South Capitol Street to Firth Sterling Avenue starting on Friday, June 17, weather permitting, to accommodate roadway paving and milling activities.
The work will take place between 8 pm and 5 am and is scheduled to be completed by Saturday, June 25, 2011. The repair work will take place during nighttime hours to minimize the impact on residents and motorists.
During this project at least one traffic lane on Suitland Parkway will be kept open in each direction.
In addition, the ramp from 295 northbound to Suitland Parkway northbound, and the ramp from 295 southbound to Suitland Parkway southbound, will be closed for an estimated two hour period sometime between 9 pm on Friday, June 17 and 2 am on Sunday, June 18.
Temporary signs and traffic control measures will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public through this area.
